For decades, the Kiehl family name has been synonymous with the provision of top-notch contractor services to customers in Akron, Ohio and surrounding communities. Building on his family’s local heritage in providing quality construction and landscaping services, Fred Kiehl established Kiehl Building Services Corporation in 1981. Fred utilized the knowledge, skills and principles of hard work inherited from his father to develop Kiehl Building Services from its humble beginnings as a single-skid steer outfit to its current status as a leading regional excavation contractor employing the latest in GPS grading technology and other modern construction methods. In 1998, the company significantly increased its size and breadth of services in order to meet the needs of larger, more complex commercial projects. In 2003, Fred’s brother Dennis joined Kiehl Building Services to launch a new division, Kiehl Information Technology Services, a single-source provider of voice, data and convergent IT solutions.

Today, Kiehl Building Services provides a comprehensive range of commercial earthmoving and site development services that includes site clearing, demolition, grading, underground utilities and retaining walls. Steadfast professionalism and reliability have garnered Kiehl Building Services a loyal customer base throughout Northeast Ohio; the company has worked with many esteemed contractors and construction management firms, including Bennett Construction Management, Frecka Plumbing, Hemminger Construction, J.W. Didado Electric, Krumroy-Cozad Construction, Novatny Electric, Seese-Sveda Construction, Siegferth, THOMARIOS, Tim Englert Construction and Welty Building.
